Early Age People
In early time, people had very limited and conservative thinking. They took everything in the very critical way. We can’t entirely blame them because at that time they didn’t have enough ways to explore what’s going on the world. So they believed what they experienced or saw by their own eyes.
Their Forefathers’ Concepts
One thing more, they did follow their forefathers’ sayings and beliefs. Every time when they were about to do anything they recalled their elders’ sayings and tried to work or behave according to such viewpoints. If you will go through the history, you would be shocked by knowing their opinions related to miscellaneous things because they are very weird things, some are funny too.
Their Beliefs
Anyways, let’s move ahead. They had outlook about every single small thing so how they could not have strong beliefs associated with diseases. We all know that the existence of viral diseases and we agree with that without any argument because we have medically proved theories in front of us. Ancient people didn’t know about any disease with sureties but after that, as I mentioned above they had strange thinking about all diseases.
Behavior of Early Age People with Patients
Let’s take about cancer. It’s not an old disease, not too new. But when it developed in early times, people thought that this is a viral infection. So they stopped meeting cancer patients, ignored conversations, having meals and drinks with them. Basically, they left such patients to die before their natural death because of illness. But things are changed. We are going to discuss how patients feel and how currently people treat patients of dreadful diseases (like cancer) in what way.
How Cancer Patients Feel
You can imagine and understand what a person feels when he gets to know that he has cancer. He starts thinking and asking some questions to himself like:
· What is the reason that I have Cancer?
· How should I behave to recover this disease?
· Can my body system stop the growth of cancer cells in my body by having a positive and fighting spirit?
What makes Patients Strong to Fight Cancer
In that situation, when patients do have lots of emotions and feelings. They want a strong support to give them hope and courage. You can say this is the most important (along with proper treatment) thing for them to fight with their disease. In that decisive time, they badly need their families, friends and loved ones.
We can’t say with full guarantee that this support can reduce the risk of cancer or help patient with cancer live longer. But relaxation, mindfulness, individual therapy and loving and caring support can be used to overcome the stress which they have because of their illness.
How Positive Attitude Works
Another thing is cancer patients should have positive thinking about their future. It’s very difficult for them and their family to have a normal attitude but they have to behave normally with others. So in that condition, they need those people around them who make them and their families happy and give them positive hopes.
How Today’s People Behave with Patients
In today’s life, everyone has latest gadgets to use them for their interests, get information or entertainment purpose. So we have knowledge about things and diseases as well. There are many awareness events get arranged to aware people for many things. So luckily we are not rude with patients. We understand that cancer is not a viral infection but it develops in a body because of different health issues.
Summary
We have been discussing above how cancer patients respond and what they face during their tough time. Not even patients but their families want love, care, high hopes and prayers from others. I agree we all are open-minded about such things but unfortunately there are enough places/areas in the world, those still avoid living and meeting with patients. We all should understand it’s not their fault to have a disease and we might also face such problems in future so we should help them instead of avoiding them.
